Hendrik Geisler

Hendrik Geisler studied mechanical engineering at the Hamburg University of Technology and received his M.Sc. degree in 2021. His master thesis focused on the prediction of spatio-temporal processes using convolutional neuronal networks.

During his studies, he stayed for two semesters at the University of California, Berkeley, where he worked with Prof. Oliver O’Reilly on the simulation of soft robot locomotion.

He joined the group of Prof. Philipp Junker at the Institute of Continuum Mechanics, Leibniz University Hannover. His research contributes to the IRTG 2657: Computational Mechanics Techniques in High Dimensions. In 2023 he stayed at the LMPS at University Paris-Saclay, France.

His research interests include uncertainty quantification for inelastic materials and deep learning methods for computational mechanics.
