Laura Weigl received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mathematics at the University of Bayreuth, Germany, in 2021 and 2023, respectively. She is currently a Ph.D. student in Mathematics at the same institution under the supervision of Anton Schiela. Her research interest include higher-order optimization algorithms on nonlinear spaces with applications to variational problems and optimal control on manifolds.
