For the third year in a row, the GAMM student Chapter Science Slam took place on October 10th, 2025. A total of 35 young researchers from the GAMM student chapter groups of Bochum, Braunschweig, Hamburg, Hannover and for the first time Duisburg-Essen participated in this single day event. The event took place at Ruhr University Bochum for the first time after the last two events took place in Hannover. The young researchers got the opportunity to present their work in a casual setting, preparing them for more formal events.

After a joint lunch, the keynote speakers Dr. Antonio Bräunche and Dr. Fabian Wagner, who is a Ruhr-University Alumnus himself, gave valuable insights into their work as project leads at Boston Consulting Group in Düsseldorf and presented applications of Generative AI in both research and industrial applications.

Following the keynote talk, the participants had the opportunity to connect with each other during a break, which was followed by ten speakers from the different Student Chapter groups, who presented topics in the fields of material modeling, speed-up of simulations, applied mathematics and even architecture. Albeit the varying scientific background of the audience, all speakers successfully managed to give an insight into their research. To stay true to the idea of a Science Slam, some talks included jokes, memes, and even a rhyme. To further connect with each other, the day closed off with a conference dinner in a local restaurant.

We would like to thank GAMM for the financial support, making this event possible. Furthermore, we would like to thank Dr. Antonio Bräunche and Dr. Fabian Wagner from Boston Consulting Group, all speakers and chairs as well as the organizers from the local GAMM Student Chapter for their contribution to the event.
