Phi L. Kinon is a post-doc in computational dynamics, currently affiliated with Chemnitz University of Technology and TU Ilmenau. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a Master’s degree in “Modeling and Simulation” at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Phi pursued their PhD under the supervision of Prof. Peter Betsch at the Institute of Mechanics.
Initially trained in numerical methods for classical continuum, structural dynamics and multibody systems, Phi has since expanded their research scope to the modeling, simulation and optimization of port-Hamiltonian systems (PHS), the design of structure-preserving numerical methods and optimal control.
