Philip Saltenberger

Philip Saltenberger studied mathematics in Hannover and Braunschweig. He received his bachelor’s degree in 2014 from the Leibniz University Hannover and his master’s degree in 2016 from the TU Braunschweig. This master thesis was on linearization techniques for matrix polynomials, polynomial eigenvalue problems and canonical decompositions for structured matrices. From 2016 to 2019, Philip was a PhD student at TU Braunschweig under the supervision of Prof. Heike Faßbender. From 2019 on, he continued to work under Prof. Faßbender at the Institute for Numerical Analysis at TU Braunschweig as a postdoctoral researcher.

His research interest is in numerical and applied linear algebra. In particular, this includes numerical methods for structured nonlinear eigenvalue problems, matrix analysis and indefinite linear Algebra.
