Lisa Scheunemann studied civil engineering at the University Duisburg-Essen, where she received her bachelor diploma in 2010 and continued her master studies in the international master program Computational Mechanics. She graduated in 2011 and pursued her PhD studies as a research assistant at the Insitute of Mechanics at the Univerity Duisburg-Essen under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Schröder. In 2017, she finished her dissertation on the numerical modeling of the mechanical behavior of microheterogeneous materials with focus on dual-phase steels and is currently working in the group of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Schröder.
Her research focuses on computational homogenization approaches and statistically similar representative volume elements as well as material modeling of thermo-elasto-plasticity, particulary the modeling of the complex behavior of polycrystalline materials.
