Marlon Franke

Marlon Franke studied mechanical engineering at the University of Siegen and graduated in 2009. In 2009 he started a PhD thesis in computational contact mechanics at the University of Siegen under the supervision of Prof. Betsch. After moving to Karlsruhe in 2013, Marlon Franke finished his dissertation at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in 2014. Currently, he is a university assistant at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in the group of Prof. Peter Betsch.

His research interests include coupled problems like e.g. electro- and thermomechanics , computational contact and fracture mechanics. Marlon Franke is particularly interested in the consistent spatial and temporal discretization of the partial differential equations.
