Arne Hansen-Dörr received his Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering from the TU Dresden in 2017. The Diploma studies included a research stay in Sheffield, UK. He continued to work under Prof. Kästner at the chair of Computational and Experimental Solid Mechanics as a research assistant and Ph.D. student.
Arne Hansen-Dörr develops and investigates phase-field models which enable efficient crack simulations in heterogeneous materials. He is particularly interested in the quantification and validation of
cracking phenomena at regularised material interfaces.
