Petar Mlinarić received his Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics in 2014 from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. He is currently pursuing his PhD in the Computational Methods in Systems and Control Theory research group at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems, Magdeburg, Germany. He is also a PhD student in the International Max Planck Research School for Advanced Methods in Process and Systems Engineering.
His research interests are in the area of model order reduction. In particular, H2-optimal structure-preserving methods for network systems, including clustering-based and subsystem reduction approaches. He is also working on model reduction methods for second-order and parametric systems.
