Lutz Pauli

Lutz Pauli is heading the unit “Modeling” within the profile area Computational Science and Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. His research interests are stabilized finite element methods for computational hemodynamics, computational blood damage estimation, turbulence and non-Newtonian behavior of blood. The developed numerical tools are used for the design of medical devices, for example, ventricular assist devices.
Lutz Pauli studied Computational Engineering Science (CES) at RWTH Aachen from 2006-2011. He continued with his doctoral studies at the chair for Computational Analysis of Technical Systems (Prof. Marek Behr) and received his PhD in 2016.
